About

I've spent my career in science and engineering.

My background is diverse and a little complicated, but it has always come back to science and engineering. I hold a master's degree in materials science and engineering, and I've worked for leading companies including Intel, Medtronic, and Carl Zeiss.

Along the way I've worked in process engineering, failure analysis, business development, and marketing. That mix means I understand how a thing works and how it gets sold.

I also started Lit Anytime LLC, a permanent lighting company, and we built it from absolutely nothing. And I grew up on a farm, so most of my free time still goes to the garden.

Woppadoodle is where all of that comes together. I'm Steven Hernandez, and I'm based in Phoenix.

My jobs

Intel, Medtronic, and Carl Zeiss

Before Woppadoodle I worked for Intel, Medtronic, and Carl Zeiss, across process engineering, failure analysis, business development, and marketing. Fabs and labs run on careful measurement, and that habit came with me.

Business

Lit Anytime LLC

We built Lit Anytime from absolutely nothing. We designed our own controllers and circuits, even though I didn't know how to design circuits when we started. We set up our own supply chain and designed our own metal channels. Building something from nothing into a successful business was one of the most rewarding things I've done.

Gardening

Still a farm kid

I grew up on a farm, and I never really stopped. These days it's raised beds and a greenhouse full of seedlings.
